The 95th Academy Awards belonged to Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s exuberant, multiverse-hopping adventure *Everything Everywhere All at Once*. The film won Best Picture and Best Director, and Michelle Yeoh became the first Asian woman to win Best Actress for her role as an overwhelmed laundromat owner turned universe-saving hero. Brendan Fraser won Best Actor for his comeback performance as an obese, housebound teacher in Darren Aronofsky’s *The Whale*. The Daniels also won Original Screenplay, while Sarah Polley’s adaptation of *Women Talking* took the Adapted Screenplay Oscar.
